Top 10 Dirty Fighting Techniques

When you have to defend yourself there are no rules and there is no shame in what is traditionally called dirty fighting. Ultimately its about making sure you can go home at the end of the night and still be alive and one piece.

Though most of us will never encounter such a situation that doesn’t mean that you won’t be one of those that do. So one thing that anyone learning Self Defense and thinking about their own safety is about what they will do in the situation. Decide in advance that you will fight back and do whatever it takes to survive. That way if and when it happens you won’t be shocked and left unable to react.

Secondly, by deciding this now you prepare yourself for the types of things that you will have to do in order to survive. So here is a list of dirty fighting techniques that you should use if you are in a self defense situation.

1. Eye Gouge
2. Scratching
3. Groin strike
4. Biting
5. Foot Stomp
6. Throat strike
7. Breaking small appendages like fingers. If you can get a hold of one just break it.
8. Headbutt - make sure to use your forehead or you risk injuring yourself
9. Kicking while down - if you get your assailant to the ground kick them in the head or ribs as hard as you can.
10. Weapons - Use your environment. If you can get a lamp, cell phone or anything hard or sharp use it. This is a life or death situation and you have to do what have to do to survive.

In any situation use your judgment. If you are just in a fight I wouldn’t suggest using weapons or kicking your opponent in the head. However, if it an honest self defense situation do whatever it takes to survive.
